About the role
Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, the company that owns the Calgary Flames and runs the Scotiabank Saddledome, is hiring a Building Operations Coordinator for its Building Operations department. The coordinator does the paperwork and scheduling for the facilities team at an NHL arena, keeping track of the maintenance that has to happen between games and concerts.
Most of the day is spent in the maintenance software, IMS 24/7. You take in new work orders, sort them by urgency, hand them to the right trade, and book them on dates that fit around the event calendar, checking against the venue booking system so maintenance and conversions never clash with an event. You chase stalled jobs, track preventive maintenance and inspections, and send status reports to Building Operations leadership.
There is time on your feet too. You walk the building before and after events to check cleanliness, safety, and anything broken, log what you find, and follow it up. On event days you may run radio dispatch, entering urgent requests and passing updates to the crews. You also help schedule training and contractors, and work with housekeeping, field of play, engineering, and trades.
The posting asks for a high school diploma and two or more years in building operations coordination or facilities administration, ideally somewhere event-driven. The role is full time and on site in Calgary, and CSEC says it stays open until the right person is found.
