About the role

The Town of Breckenridge is hiring certified officials for adult hockey games at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena. Officials work the town's adult league under USA Hockey rules and the league's own rules.

On the ice you call penalties and violations, check the ice surface and equipment for safety, and manage player behavior before, during, and after games. Off the ice you review score sheets and help with disciplinary issues, and you handle disputes between players, officials, and spectators in a professional way.

Most shifts run Sunday to Friday evenings from 5 p.m. to midnight, depending on the league schedule, with occasional early mornings, weekends, and holidays. The job is part-time and year round.

The posted range is $35 to $45 an hour, and the usual hiring range is $35 to $40. Part-time staff get a free recreation center pass, paid time off, bikeshare access, and free EV charging at town sites, and seasonal housing may be available to rent. The posting is open until filled.
