About the role

KeyBank Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres, is hiring part-time Changeover Crew members. The crew turns the arena over between events, setting the building up for each one and taking it down afterwards. The employer named on the posting is Western New York Arena.

The work is physical. You move chairs, risers, staging, tables, and sports equipment, load and unload supplies, and clean the building by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. You also look after the outside grounds and drive equipment such as forklifts, auto-scrubbers, pallet jacks, and Cushman carts.

You report to a supervisor and keep in touch with them through each shift. Expect to work on stages, ramps, lifts, and the ice surface itself, outdoors in any weather, and on your feet for long stretches.

The posting lists pay of $17.50 an hour. Hours run long at times and include evenings, weekends, and holidays, following the arena's event calendar.
