About the role
Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, owner of the Calgary Flames, is hiring an hourly Electrician for its Calgary venues. You report to the Manager of Trades and take direction on electrical work from the Journeyperson Electrician.
The work is preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on distribution equipment, lighting, and controls. Lighting covers the bowl, concourses, back of house, parkade, and emergency and exit lights. You also install and test structured cabling, including Cat6 and fibre.
On event days you answer service calls, set up temporary power, check circuits, and stay on hand for anything event critical. Every job goes into the maintenance management system.
The schedule follows building operations and events. It can include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, call-ins, and overtime. Work happens across the venue, including catwalks, electrical rooms, and the parkade. The posting stays open until the right person is hired.
