About the role
The Florida Panthers are hiring a part-time Guest Experience Coordinator for the Baptist Health IcePlex, the two-rink complex at War Memorial in Fort Lauderdale that includes the team's practice rink. The coordinator reports to the Guest Experience Manager and runs the front line of guest services while on shift.
A lot of the job is people. You answer customer emails and calls, keep in touch with clients before, during, and after their events, and deal with problems as they come up. You also train and schedule the party hosts and the curling staff.
On event days you prepare and send the event overview and run of show, brief the staff, and work with operations, food and beverage, and other departments on any issues. You also confirm that each account is paid in full and fill out skating or premises incident reports when needed.
After each event you hold a debrief and report on how it went, using feedback from clients, guests, and staff. The schedule covers evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Answer customer inquiries by email and phone with accurate information
- Train and schedule the party host and curling staff
- Prepare and send event overviews and run of show documents and brief staff on upcoming events
- Work with operations, food and beverage, and other departments to fix problems during events
- Confirm event details with customers and collect payment in full under IcePlex policy
- Complete skating and premises incident reports and pass them to management
- Run event debriefs and report on client, guest, and staff feedback
Requirements
- Available for a range of hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and good problem solving
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to lift at least 30 pounds and move around the building throughout each shift
