About the role
MLSE, the organization behind the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies, is hiring part-time members for the Facility Services team at Scotiabank Arena. The crew converts the building between hockey, basketball, concerts, and other events, and maintains the ice surface to NHL standards before and after each conversion.
Day to day the work covers arena conversions and basketball setups, preventative maintenance and repair of permanent and telescoping seating, cleaning and upkeep of operations equipment, and operating light machinery including forklifts and ice maintenance equipment. The crew works under the Supervisor, Facility Services, and is expected to follow MLSE health and safety standards closely.
The role is part-time with hours built around the event calendar, so evenings, weekends, and holidays are part of it. It suits someone who wants hands-on work inside an NHL building and is comfortable with physical, equipment-based tasks in a fast-moving team.
