About the role

The City of Brooklyn Park's Recreation and Parks Department is hiring four seasonal ice skating instructors for its skating programs at the Community Activity Center on 85th Avenue North. Instructors work under the general supervision of the center's facilities coordinator.

You teach skating skills to program participants, start each session on time, and keep the group on the lesson plan. When something goes wrong on the ice you report it and help complete the incident paperwork.

The job is under 20 hours a week, mostly evening shifts with some weekends. Pay is $22.40 to $26.78 an hour.

Applicants must be at least 16 and understand skating principles. The city would like to see past skating instruction and customer service experience, and it welcomes speakers of Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Lao, or Vietnamese. The posting is open until filled and the city warns it can close without notice, so apply early.
