About the role
The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is hiring a part-time, year-round Ice Technician for the Stephen C. West Ice Arena. The job looks after the ice and the building and also works the front counter.
Most shifts mix ice maintenance and light facility upkeep with setting up equipment for programs. You also help deliver programs, serve guests at the desk, take registrations and bookings, handle cash, enforce facility rules, and drive town vehicles within non-commercial limits.
Shifts run six to eight hours and fall anywhere from early morning to midnight, with some weekends and holidays.
The town asks for applicants who are 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED and at least a year of customer service experience. CPR, AED, first aid, and Preventing Disease Transmission certificates are needed within 60 days, and a Colorado driver's license before driving town vehicles. Skate sharpening and ice resurfacing experience is preferred. The typical hiring range is $21.50 to $22.75 an hour, with a free recreation center pass, paid time off, and seasonal staff housing available to rent. The posting stays open until filled.
