Media Technology Specialist

OC Sports & Entertainment, the company behind the Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center, is hiring a Media Technology Specialist for its Remote Operations Center. The role looks after the digital signs, video boards, and media systems at Honda Center and across the surrounding OCVIBE district.

On event days you run the IPTV system, the broadcast control room, and the Daktronics displays as needed, and you check every playback system and screen before doors open. Between events you fix network, power, and content problems, keep the digital menus showing the right prices for food and beverage, and help sponsorship, marketing, and production teams get their content on screen on time.

The systems include Triple Play IPTV, Daktronics, Ross XPression and Acuity, and Evertz DreamCatcher. You work with the Senior Manager of Operations and the Media Technology Manager.

The job is on site with evenings, weekends, and some holidays. It involves ladders, scaffolding, and walking up to six or seven miles in a day. The stated starting rate is $30 to $36 an hour.

• Operate the IPTV system, broadcast control room, and Daktronics displays on event days
• Check playback systems and displays before every event
• Troubleshoot network, power, and media content problems on digital signs and menus
• Keep digital menu boards accurate for the food and beverage department
• Help sponsorship, marketing, and production teams display time-sensitive content
• Support special events, theme nights, and partner activations that use the control room

• High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred
• Two to three years of experience in live entertainment
• Experience with media asset management systems and media delivery software
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects, an editing program, and video codecs
• Comfortable on ladders and scaffolding and able to walk long distances during a shift
• Available evenings, weekends, and some holidays
