About the role

Colorado College is hiring an occasional Arena Operations/Ice Technician at Ed Robson Arena, the home of its Division I men's hockey program. This is an hourly job of up to 960 hours a year, and the weekly hours vary with the event schedule.

The work splits between ice and building upkeep. You resurface the ice, do periodic and emergency maintenance on the resurfacing equipment, and keep the ice logs. You also open and close the arena, inspect the facility, make minor repairs, and clean locker rooms, benches, and dasher board glass.

Arena conversions are a regular part of the job, including ice changeovers, removing dasher walls and glass, setting tables and chairs, and building stages. Snow removal and painting come up as well.

The pay is $16 an hour. Recruitment is continuous, so the college may close the posting at any time without notice. US Ice Rinks certifications and resurfacer experience are preferred, not required.
