About the role

The Ontario Reign are hiring part-time Off-Ice Officials for home games. The Off-Ice Official is the link between the on-ice officials and the two clubs before, during, and after preseason, regular season, and playoff games.

The work covers official rosters, game statistics, and time on ice, plus operating the game clock, penalty clock, and the AHL review systems. Officials set up and test the technical equipment, record every in-game event to AHL rules, and review the official scoresheet for accuracy with the on-ice officials and both hockey operations departments.

Pay is $16.90 to $17.50 an hour. The posting asks for two to four years of related experience and availability for home games on nights and weekends.

This is a good entry point for someone who wants to be inside the game operation of a professional club without being on the ice.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with AHL on-ice officials and both clubs on rosters, starting line-ups, and statistics
  • Set up, test, and operate technical equipment including AHL review systems and time-on-ice computers
  • Track and record in-game statistics including goals, assists, shots, plus-minus, penalties, and time on ice
  • Operate the official game clock and record all penalties
  • Review the official scoresheet for accuracy and coordinate corrections

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent; bachelor's degree or current college student strongly preferred
  • Two to four years of related work experience
  • Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Available to work home games on nights and weekends
