About the role
The Sensplex facilities, the Ottawa Senators' affiliate rink network, are hiring an Operations Supervisor at the Bell Sensplex on Maple Grove Road.
Reporting to the Arena and Facility Manager, the Supervisor leads a team of facility operators and custodial staff, and owns the daily operation and maintenance of the building and every system in it: HVAC, sound, lighting, ice making and maintenance, fire protection, safety, scoreboard, and communications.
The role also covers event setup and technical requirements to specification, assembly and disassembly of the facility around programming, health and safety compliance, equipment and supply inventory, and annual maintenance projects.
This is a replacement role with one vacancy, paying $49,500 to $75,900 a year. It suits an experienced facility supervisor who wants a leadership position in a busy multi-rink complex.
Responsibilities
- Manage facility operations and custodial staff to meet building standards
- Run daily operation and maintenance of the facility and all systems including HVAC, lighting, ice making, and fire protection
- Ensure event setup and technical requirements are executed to specification
- Oversee assembly and disassembly of the facility around programs and events
- Keep the facility compliant with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment, furniture, and supplies
- Assist with annual maintenance projects
Requirements
- Experience supervising facility operations or custodial teams
- Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, ice plant, and life safety
- Strong customer service orientation
- Available on site for patrons throughout shifts, including evenings and weekends
