Part-Time Conversion Crew

The Florida Panthers are hiring part-time crew for the changeover team at War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, a renovated concert and event hall and one of the four Broward County buildings the club runs. The crew turns the building from a hockey arena into a concert and event venue and back again.

A shift can mean building risers and stages, laying out seating and furniture for a concert, game, dinner, or banquet, and hanging signs and banners for the next event. You also install, repair, and remove venue parts and seating, and move equipment and boxes for vendors, guests, and team staff on event days. Giveaway items go out to each arena entrance before doors open, and some of the work is outdoors.

The role reports to the Operations Supervisor. The building is loud and busy during events, temperatures vary and are often cold, and there can be flashing lights and pyrotechnics. Expect weekends, nights, overnights, and holidays.

The Panthers ask for a high school diploma or GED and the physical ability to climb, crawl, kneel, and squat. Forklift and warehouse equipment experience is preferred but not required. The posting does not state pay.
