About the role

The City of Roseville Parks and Recreation department is hiring seasonal attendants for its outdoor ice rinks. Attendants look after the park warming buildings that skaters use during the winter rink season, which usually runs from late December to mid-February.

On a shift you open and close the warming houses on schedule, keep an eye on the rinks and buildings so skaters follow the rules, and answer questions in person or on a city cell phone. You also do light cleaning, help clear snow from sidewalks, patios, and rinks, and help building renters set up and clean up after events. Some shifts involve driving between parks to open and close more than one warming building.

You work alone much of the time and report to a supervisor through incident and attendance reports. Shifts include evenings and weekends, and most of the work is outdoors or in a park building near the ice.

The posted pay is $14.00 to $18.58 an hour. Attendants with a valid driver's license qualify for specialty pay of $16.93 to $18.58 an hour. Applications close on November 9, 2026.
