About the role
The Ottawa Senators are hiring one intern for the Senators Community Foundation, the club's charity, for the Winter 2027 term from January to April. It is a full-time student placement based with the Foundation team in Kanata, home of the Canadian Tire Centre.
The work is split across four areas. On events, you help plan and run the Foundation's main gala, from logistics and decor to auction set-up and on-site help, then handle the follow-up: auction fulfilment, donor thank-yous, and reports. You also help at other Foundation nights, the telethon, and some game-night activations.
On the donor side you help with a new donor program and keep the CRM records accurate. On charitable giving you contact 50/50 early bird winners, sort out prize pick-ups and shipping, order 50/50 promotional material, source silent auction items, and trade items with other NHL clubs. You also manage gift-in-kind inventory and look after the Foundation inbox. The rest is research and short projects on community groups and funding opportunities.
The club pays $38,500 a year, prorated to the length of the term, with paid sick leave and two weeks of vacation accrued over the term. Interns also get free parking at the Canadian Tire Centre, tickets to some events, a GoodLife Fitness membership, and a Sens Store discount. Expect some evenings, weekends, and game nights.
