Supervisor on Duty

The Florida Panthers are hiring a part-time Supervisor on Duty at the Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale, the team's two-rink practice facility at the War Memorial complex. The job sits in Guest Services and reports to the Front Desk Manager.

You are the person in charge of the building during your shift. You walk the facility, check conditions, talk with customers and staff, and brief each employee as they come on duty. The front desk and its attendants are under your direction, including registrations and phone calls.

On the ice side, you oversee public skating sessions and the skate guards. When the presenting department has no one there, you also supervise freestyles, stick and puck sessions, and pick-up hockey, and you check that everyone has registered and paid.

You also complete incident reports, handle customer complaints, and assign locker rooms. The schedule is flexible and irregular, with early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The building is loud and busy, and it is often cold.
