About the role
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies, is hiring a full-time Experience & Presentation Specialist for its Event Experience Team in Toronto. The role runs MLSE's part-time activation crew of about 100 brand ambassadors and plans the fan activations and event presentation pieces for MLSE's hockey, basketball, football, and soccer properties.
A large part of the job is people management. You recruit, hire, train, and lead the hourly activation crew so each event is staffed and run well.
The rest is planning and running the show. You come up with activations and presentation elements, write scripts, stage-manage, call shows, and build run-of-show documents for a busy event calendar. You work with internal teams on graphics and video for presentations, book outside vendors for equipment and services, and oversee setup and rehearsal. After each event you gather feedback, look at the results, and suggest changes.
You work alongside the event operations team and the strategy and growth team, plus clients. The posted pay range is $60,000 to $70,000 a year, and the schedule includes evenings and weekends when events are on.
