About the role
Calgary Sports and Entertainment, which owns the Calgary Flames, is hiring an IT Broadcast Systems Administrator at the Saddledome address. This is a full-time technical job that sits between enterprise networking and live broadcast production.
You help design and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems, and you look after the IP networks that carry broadcast and media traffic. You also troubleshoot video, audio, timing, and connectivity problems, and test and maintain fiber, copper, SDI, and SMPTE cabling.
A large part of the job happens on event days. You are on site for Flames home games, concerts, and other major events, where you test systems beforehand and respond when something fails. Some maintenance happens after hours.
You work with the broadcast, event production, and building operations teams, along with outside vendors, broadcasters, and the league. The posting stays open until the company finds a suitable candidate and does not state pay.
