About the role
The Buffalo Sabres are hiring a Manager of Growth & Retention Strategy, based at KeyBank Center. This person owns the customer database and CRM used by the ticketing, partnerships, and marketing teams.
The job mixes strategy with technical work. You keep data clean across the sales and marketing platforms, help with email and digital ad automation, standardize campaign tracking, and report on what campaigns achieved. The first year has specific goals: set up golden records, standardize customer segments, and develop lead scoring. You also manage direct reports and present regular findings to department leaders and executives.
Pay is $75,000 to $80,000 a year. The posting asks for five or more years of CRM, database marketing, or marketing automation experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, or e-commerce. Some nights and weekends may be needed.
