About the role
The Florida Panthers are hiring a salaried Event Manager in the Event Services department. The role covers Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, where the Panthers play their home games, and the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale. It reports to the Director, Event Services.
An Event Manager plans and runs assigned events from start to finish. That includes Panthers games as well as concerts, family shows, ice shows, and corporate events. You build each event from the production notes, brief every department through event sheets, meetings, and building walkthroughs, and write the setup outline covering access, security, and show times.
The money side is part of the job too: putting together show costs for billing and settlement, giving estimates for possible bookings, and scheduling rigging and labour for load-in and load-out. You draw on-sale and facility maps in AutoCAD and work with the box office on house scaling and show builds.
On event days you inspect the building, deal with guest problems alongside the guest experience team, and act as Manager on Duty when no senior executive is in the building. Evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call time are expected.
