Assistant, Digital Content

Monumental Sports & Entertainment, owner of the Washington Capitals, is hiring a part-time Assistant for Digital Content at Monumental Sports Network. The role helps publish and program video across the network's digital platforms, including its Monumental+ streaming service and YouTube, so live events, shows, podcasts, and highlights go up correctly and on time.

The work covers Capitals programming along with the company's other teams. You schedule and publish video, build and maintain content pages and playlists inside Monumental+, and keep titles, descriptions, artwork, tags, and availability windows accurate in the content management system.

Quality control is a big part of it: checking content before and after it goes live, spotting outdated or duplicated items, and passing technical problems to the product and engineering teams. You also help keep the programming calendar and content inventory up to date for the Content Strategy team.

The posting describes around 25 hours a week, with evenings, weekends, and holidays when the live sports schedule needs it. Pay is $25.00 an hour.

• Publish and schedule video across Monumental+, Monumental Sports Network digital properties, and YouTube
• Manage live events, full episodes, highlights, clips, and podcasts on digital platforms
• Build and maintain content pages, collections, and playlists within Monumental+
• Keep titles, descriptions, artwork, tags, and availability windows accurate in the content system
• Check content, links, and playback before and after publishing
• Support digital programming for the Capitals and the network's other live events

• Strong accuracy and organisational skills
• Able to juggle several publishing projects and deadlines at once
• Comfortable learning content management systems and digital publishing tools
• Strong written communication and editorial judgment
• Available around 25 hours a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
