About the role

Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, the owner of the Calgary Flames, is hiring a Program Manager to plan the move into Scotia Place, the new arena being built for the Flames. The job is to get every department ready to open and run the new building.

You own the master transition plan: the timeline, milestones, dependencies, and critical path. Each department has a workstream lead, and you pull their plans into one schedule, track progress, and help them sort out problems that cross from one team to another.

The role also tracks the program budget, spending, forecasts, and staffing, including contractors. You prepare the steering committee and executive reports, keep the risk and issue register, record decisions, and take serious issues to the Project Director.

This is a full-time job in Calgary. The posting gives no salary. Applications close at 3:00pm on Friday, November 13, 2026.

  • Build and maintain the integrated Scotia Place transition plan and master schedule
  • Work with each workstream lead on planning, issues, and handoffs between teams
  • Track the program budget, spending, forecasts, staff, and contractor capacity
  • Coordinate legal reviews, approvals, and decision gates
  • Write regular reports for the steering committee and executives on progress, money, risks, and decisions needed
  • Keep the risk and issue register and escalate critical issues to the Project Director

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering, or a related field
  • Five or more years in program management, project management, or large operational transitions
  • Experience running cross-functional programs with many stakeholders
  • Experience with executive governance and reporting
  • Comfortable with project tools such as ClickUp, PowerPoint, and Excel
