About the role
The Florida Panthers and Amerant Bank Arena are hiring a Senior Director, Live Events Management to own the logistical planning and execution of every event the building runs: Panthers games, concerts, family shows, ice shows, sporting events, and private bookings.
The posting is unusually frank about the job. It says the industry is not for the faint of heart, that days can be long and stakeholders demanding, and that for someone with seven or more years in the field this is not a step back from working events. You still take a rotational share of Event Manager duties while leading the people, processes, and system design behind them.
The work means managing relationships between the arena, the club, War Memorial Auditorium, clients, promoters, partners, and vendors, and giving direct oversight, training, and support to the Event Managers and Coordinators.
It reports to the Vice President, Event Services and is on-site across Amerant Bank Arena and FTL War Memorial. Expert AutoCAD ability is a stated must. No pay range is given.
